Hey everyone, this week I have a couple of news posts to bring you. The Back 4 Blood open beta is now live! The game is finally available to play in your browser, and the game provides a unique experience. The game is a very fast-paced action platformer where you control a blood-thirsty vampiric zombie from the future. You have to fight hordes of enemies to get back your powers, and you can even play as a horde of blood-thirsty zombies! Last but not least, the game also has a boss-rush mode, so you can get some good practice before the final frontier! The first Death Loop has gone gold, and can be downloaded from your favorite game distribution site. We are also
It’s been a while since we have seen news of Back 4 Blood, the horror/adventure game from the makers of the popular Deathloop. The last time we had something to report was in early May when the Back 4 Blood open beta was released to a select group of backers. Now though, we have some very exciting news to share. Back 4 Blood is now in open beta on Steam, and the team has been hard at work adding content to the game. The developers recently announced that they have completed the first pass on the final story and all the side quests. This is a huge step, as it means that the game is essentially completed, barring bug fixes and other minor issues.
It’s Friday, and that means it’s time for a load of new games in the Weekend Roundup! Here are some of the latest and greatest releases:. Read more about games that got delayed 2021 and let us know what you think.
It’s been a great week for gaming news, and now it’s time to take a look back at some of the highlights. Keep a look out for my observations of Back 4 Blood as well as live-streaming the same title this week, in addition to the news summary this weekend. Let’s get to the news without further ado!
Back 4 Blood is presently in an open beta stage, which anybody may participate in. I’m not going to reveal much about the game just yet, but it contains more components than I anticipated, which is a promising indication for what’s to come in the complete version. So far, I’ve found it to be very enjoyable, but not without its drawbacks. I’m excited to learn more and share my initial impressions with you next week. So we’re clear, it’s available to everyone, not just preorders.
Ghost of Tsushima is another game I’m looking forward to this month, as are most PlayStation owners. With a major update on the way that includes a game extension, a multiplayer mode, and a PS5 upgrade for a few more bucks, it’s nearly time for me to get back in and restart the game.
A handful of PS5 developer kits were recently offered on eBay. The bidding reached over $3000 USD when eBay abruptly removed the item without explanation. We’re assuming Sony got involved and had the item taken down, but there’s no way to know for sure without an official comment from either eBay or Sony. Personally, I wouldn’t consider purchasing a dev kit if I were in the market for a PS5. It may have some collector’s value in the future, but it’s still a no-go for me. Would you consider purchasing one?
In other news, Sony has witnessed a drop in PlayStation Plus members, but the firm is unconcerned since the PlayStation brand remains Sony’s most profitable right now. Which makes me wonder where Sony would be right now if they hadn’t given up on the console market. According to my understanding, PlayStation is the company’s current flagship, thus Sony might have gone bankrupt if it hadn’t gotten into gaming. It’s an intriguing idea to consider. What do you think would have occurred if this had happened?
Deathloop has achieved gold status! The PS5’s timed exclusive, which was supposed to be out in May of this year, has finally been finished and is available to play. Unfortunately for me and other gamers who are eagerly awaiting the release of this game, becoming gold today does not bring the release date any closer. It’s the 14th of September! Microsoft currently owns the developer and publisher of Deathloop, but the agreement with Sony had already been signed before MS bought Zenimax and everything under its umbrella, and the businesses had to stick to the conditions. I’m excited to read it and tell you what I think. I have great expectations, but I’ve been disappointed in the past, so we’ll see.
While I eagerly anticipate the release of Deathloop and a slew of other games that won’t arrive until the autumn season, I’m also anticipating the release of the new ALIENS game later this month. Aliens: Fireteam is a third-person multiplayer shooter that is supposed to be a sequel to the Sigourney Weaver-starring Aliens films. Apart from that and some gameplay I’ve seen, I don’t know much more about it, but when it comes out on August 24th, I’ll be playing it and hopefully liking it! I’ll also leave you a analyze around that time!
The problems at Activision, the giant publishing firm, are growing worse. That is, for the company’s sake. To summarize, a large number of workers at Blizzard Activision, as well as Activision in general, have come out with claims of sexual harassment, discrimination, and general maltreatment of women. The state of California filed a lawsuit against the business for all of the reasons listed above and more, and Activison’s executives began by making nonsensical comments that didn’t fix anything. Frances Townsend, an executive at Activision Blizzard, has resigned from her job at the firm. She didn’t do it because it was the proper thing to do or because she wanted to protect workers’ rights. No, she did not ban workers on Twitter after sending an email disputing the company’s claims.
Frances began banning workers and others from her Twitter account after receiving a lot of criticism for her email. Frances, a former US Homeland Security Advisor who went on to become Activision Blizzard’s executive vice president for corporate affairs, has stepped down from the company’s Women’s Network. She still works there, but she seems to have separated herself in some way. It seems to me that she should be dismissed, but Activision refuses to accept that it is a bad place for women to work in general, so why even mention Frances? I believe this is just the beginning, and I hope Activision and its executives are held completely responsible.
Of course, I’ll keep you updated on how things progressed with everything. As I said earlier, I’ll be dropping a few feedbacks for you this month, and to top it off, keep an eye on our social media sites. In the following days, I intend to broadcast the PS5 exclusive Returnal, followed by ALIENS: Fireteam later this month. Thank you for reading, and I hope to see you online soon!
