Joan and Steve are the co-founders of MyGameRank, a website dedicated to becoming the go-to source for gaming information.
They met in the UK, in Poole, while studying at Bournemouth University, and bonded over their shared love of video games and all things considered a bit geeky 🙂 They soon began working together on various gaming projects making 8-bit style retro games in their spare time, with classic titles such as “Revenge of the mixed tapes“. A space invaders style shooter where hordes of cassettes descend upon the modern world to wreak havoc on the new digital land of music. And “Take me to your feeder“, a comical “hack ‘n slash” platformer in the classic style, that sees the protagonist pitted against swarms of demonic obese teenagers and late-night fast food.
Eventually they decided to start their own website, because hey, why not!

Both Joan and Steve are experts in the gaming world (so they claim) and they are always hungry for more knowledge. They are constantly reading up on the latest news and developments in the gaming industry, so they can provide their readers with the most accurate and best information possible.
James came along for the ride a bit later as an old school chum of Steve. As a trio, they can claim about as much hours playing Worms whilst drinking cheap cider as anymore!
They are still keen gamers and enjoy playing all kinds of games – from first-person online shooters like Call of Duty and CS:GO to puzzle games like Escape Academy and basically anything made by Rockstar or in the open-world genre. They even have a collection of old consoles to indulge in classics like Mario Kart & Goldeneye on the N64 or a bit of Tony Hawks & Micro Machines on the PS1. Whatever the game, whatever the platform, they will give it a go!
