Intel announced the Arc Alchemist graphics cards at CES 2019, showcasing its new chip design and highlighting its deep ties to gaming. The company is giving away one of their prize packages for free in an attempt to gauge demand before releasing more options next year.
The “graphics card better than rx 570” is a topic that has been circulating the internet for some time now. The new Intel giveaway teased potential pricing for their new Arc Alchemist graphics cards, with two prize packages listed of $700 and $900.

Intel is now running a treasure hunt with a prize pool of 300 Arc Alchemist graphics cards up for grabs. The contest’s Terms & Conditions have piqued the curiosity of enthusiasts, since they provide some insight into how much these GPUs may cost.
The ARV (approximate retail value) of a premium Intel Arc graphics card with Intel Arc branded merchandise and six months of Xbox Game Pass for PC is $900, while the ARV of a performance Intel Arc graphics card with Intel Arc branded merchandise and three months of Xbox Game Pass for PC is $700. Intel’s branded goods is unknown, while Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass for PC memberships costs $9.99 a month, making those elements of the prize bundles $59.94 and $29.97, respectively. Intel’s premium and performance Arc graphics cards are expected to cost roughly $800 and $600, respectively.
The following is taken from the “Prizes” section of Intel’s Terms & Conditions:
- One hundred (100) Grand Prize Winners will get one (1) Premium Intel Arc graphics card, as well as Intel Arc branded items and six (6) months of Xbox Game Pass for PC, for a total ARV of $900USD. At the end of the Clue Period, the 100 Grand Prize Winners are determined by their point positions 1-100.
- Each of the 200 1st Place Prize recipients will get one (1) Performance Intel Arc graphics card, as well as Intel Arc branded items and 3 months of Xbox Game Pass for PC, for a total ARV of $700USD. At the end of the Clue Period, the 200 1st Place Winners are determined by their point positions 101-300.
- Each of the 1,000 2nd Place Prize recipients will get a $100USD voucher for a Graphics Card based on the Intel Arc GPU from an approved 3rd Party manufacturer, with an ARV of $100USD. Those who get point positions 301-1300 at the end of the Clue Period are the 2nd place winners.
- Each of the 2,000 3rd Place Prize recipients will get a $50USD voucher for a Graphics Card based on the Intel Arc GPU from an approved 3rd Party manufacturer, with an ARV of $50USD. Those who get point positions 1301-3300 at the end of the Clue Period are the 3rd place winners.
In the first or second quarter of 2022, Intel will release its Arc Alchemist graphics cards. Up to 512 Execution Units, 4,094 Shading Units, 16 GB of GDDR6 memory, and clock rates of up to 2.5 GHz are rumored to be included in the flagship card.
