So last night I was browsing around Facebook and saw an ad for something called “Facebook games”. I didn’t know what the hell Facebook games were, so I decided to check it out. Within that, I saw a game called “Candy Crush Saga”, it looked pretty fun so I decided to try it out. To my surprise, I actually really enjoyed it, so I decided to check out some of the other games that I had seen. I can’t really remember the names, but they were all pretty much the same thing. Anyway, so I got onto the game and started playing. And I got stuck on level 2. Like I said, I really enjoyed the game so I decided to keep playing it. I went in and played

Monopoly is one of my favorite board games, and I’ve always been fascinated by the idea that the player who comes last must pay everything owed to the winner. The classic game is a great example of how luck can change the rules of a game in a way that benefits an already winning player.

Last week we looked at how your gaming console is probably more powerful than your PC, if you want to see what your new CPUs and GPUs are, and whether you should upgrade. And if you want to check out the most popular games on each platform, that’s easy to do, since it’s all in one place.. Read more about latest game news and let us know what you think. Normally I post news later in the week, but I made the mistake of not posting last week’s update, so this week will be filled with long-awaited information like the release date of Dying Light, Horizon Forbidden West gameplay, Sony’s development of AI companions, and more! Without further ado, check out the latest news from the PlayStation games industry! As mentioned earlier, the release date for Dying Light 2 has finally been revealed: Stay human!  I have to admit that I was starting to worry that this game would drag on for a few more years or so. Dying Light 2: Staying Human is scheduled for release on the 7th. December 2021 scheduled. Superfans (like me) have been waiting for this for a long time! Especially those of us who play on the PS5 will be happy to finally be able to play this long-awaited sequel on the new and current generation of consoles. I think it’s gonna be great! word-image-15980 Last year I wrote about Sony’s patent for an AI companion that could play PlayStation games with you. Like a little robot that you put on the couch next to you and it becomes your player 2. In addition, he can learn to play better, support you, play with or against you, and probably many more things I don’t know. Sony wants to help make life more social in the wake of the global pandemic. I wonder if replacing a human with an AI companion is anti-social in itself. Who am I to ask such stupid questions? I’ll buy it anyway. More news : Sony’s online sales have increased nearly tenfold in the past seven years. PS Plus is the main source, with over 47 million subscribers as of March 2021, and I’m sure they’re happy now. This is great news, but one may wonder what Sony plans to do with Microsoft’s Gamepass. We’ve heard very little about the future of PS Plus, but we do know that Sony is working on something, as they’ve said we’ll have to wait and see. We’ve been spoiled with Horizon: The gameplay of Forbidden West was revealed yesterday during PlayStation’s State of Play, and I won’t say more than wow. It was beautiful, and while we know demos are refined at these events, I can’t wait to see the full product. I enjoyed the first installment of the series, and I’m sure the second will be just as satisfying, if not better. This is another game that PS5 owners should be particularly excited about, but we still don’t have a release date. Hopefully we’ll hear about a holiday release, but there’s a good chance the game will come out in the spring of 2022. Guerrilla Games has confirmed that information on the release date will be available soon. word-image-15981 With the PlayStation 5, Sony is setting some serious goals for its latest console. The company expects to reach a 50% market share by selling more than 23 million PS5 consoles in fiscal 2022. Given the global shortage of semiconductors, which in turn causes a shortage of console production, this seems far-fetched, but these people have been in the business a long time and have a better idea of what’s possible than I do. Let’s not forget that the PS5 is scheduled for a 2022 release, which could also affect the company’s expectations. In the meantime, let’s hope things improve and those still trying to buy a PS5 can finally do so with less effort. I don’t think that will happen before 2022 because of the upcoming holiday season, which will likely be depleted quickly, but time will tell. Finally, Sony reported that 41% of PS4 and PS5 owners are women. This is incredibly important information. I think it really shows the barriers that players overcome. Growing up, I didn’t mind women playing video games. Over time, not only did male gamers begin to accept that women also like video games and even acknowledge that they can be better than their male counterparts, but female gamers also reached a point where they realized that they didn’t need anyone’s approval. Just play and send those whiners home crying when they lose a game. I couldn’t agree more. word-image-15982 Thanks for reading today’s update on last week’s news! I’ll be back in a few days with this week’s update, so be sure to read this and the many other news items that will appear in the wake of shows like E3! As always, see you online! With the release of the Nintendo Switch, and the announcement for its successor (codenamed “Switch 2”) behind us, along with the release of the HTC Vive VR headset, it’s a good time for the gaming media to reflect on some of the biggest stories that came out of E3 this year..
